The MSSO offers free training sessions to subscribers on a first come, first serve basis. The training is limited to two persons per subscribing organization per course. Courses will be offered in Europe and the US in a variety of locations. The list of locations (see below) will grow during the course of the year. Coding with MedDRA
The training is a one day course designed to provide a basic understanding of the "how and why" development history of MedDRA, an introduction to the basic scope, structure, and rules of the MedDRA terminology, and reviews the System Organ Classes that are unique to MedDRA. Additionally, it is designed for individuals involved with coding, those affected by coding guidelines and associated standard operating procedures, and those involved with synonym lists.
The course illustrates coding examples as they pertain to the scope of MedDRA, the differences between older coding terminologies and MedDRA, tools that support coding, and a hands-on approach to coding verbatims and narratives with MedDRA.
Introduction to MedDRA Data Analysis and SMQs for Physicians
This half day presentation provides a brief overview of MedDRA and an introduction to the applications of MedDRA for data presentation, retrieval, and analysis (including use of SMQs) from a medical perspective. Trainees also receive instruction on building a query using MedDRA terms.
The course is designed for MedDRA subscribers, particularly clinical research and pharmacovigilance physicians, and other personnel such as regulatory affairs professionals and medical writers who are interested in the applications of MedDRA for data retrieval and presentation.

Cancellation Policy
Each session will have a cancellation deadline. Please cancel before the deadline or as early as possible if you could not attend so that people on the waiting list could have the training opportunity. The MSSO reserves the right to cancel a session if a minimum number of attendees is not reached.

Please fill in all of the required information, including your organization's MedDRA User ID, and click Submit. You will receive an email confirmation of your registration from the MSSO. Free MedDRA training sessions will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis.
